Frenadol contains three active substances, Paracetamol 500mg, Dextromethorphan 20mg and Chlorpheniramine 4mg.

Paracetamol reduces the fever and pain. The Dextromethorphan relieve the cough. The Chlorpheniramine reduces the excess of nasal secretion. Frenadol does not cure the infections produced by virus or bacteria, but relieves the symptoms of a flu.

The dose recommended for adults (over 18 years of age) is 1 dose Frenadol every 6 or every 8 hours. For young people less than 18 years of age consult your doctor.

Precautions when taking Frenadol:

In case of suffering diseases that affect the liver or the kidney, the heart or the lungs, ocular hypertension, obstruction of the urinary routes, diabetes or anaemia, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Side effects of Frenadol:

Most frequent are sedation and somnolence. Also it can produce constipation, dryness of mouth, vertigos, diminution of the arterial tension, difficulty to tinkle, confusion and euphoria. Frenadol also can produce other adverse effects. Consult your doctor if you notice something abnormal.
